Attachment plugs and receptacles in the XP StarLine Victory and Millennium Series require a properly sized grommet for a safe environmental seal. The correct internal diameter of the grommet, gland washer, and basket weave grip is determined by your cable's outside diameter. Mechanical clamp nuts accommodate the full range of diameters.
Take the diameter of your cable and use the table below to determine the cable diameter code of your connector part number. For more information, look to the connector's Product Data Sheet. The Part Number Code Logic section will also assist you in specifying the correct part number.
For example, connector AF-B1516-621SL-18 comes with a size “18” grommet, for use with a cable whose diameter range is 1.000 – 1.125 inches (25.4 - 28.6mm). Adding the letter "B" to the suffix, i.e., "-18B" will substitute the correctly sized basket weave grip for the mechanical clamp nut.
